Yes. You configure your sender ID and route (transactional or promotional) in the integration settings. Wendesk automatically uses the correct route per message type, keeping you compliant with TRAI's DLT mandate.
Can MSG91 be used for WhatsApp OTP delivery?
Yes. MSG91 supports WhatsApp OTP delivery in addition to SMS. Wendesk uses WhatsApp as the primary OTP channel and falls back to SMS after 30 seconds, matching the platform's own OTP delivery strategy.
What credentials are needed to connect MSG91?
You need your MSG91 Auth Key, Sender ID, and the route type. These are stored encrypted in Wendesk and are never logged or returned by any API endpoint.
How fast can MSG91 send OTPs?
MSG91 supports up to 100 requests per second on its API. Wendesk queues OTP requests via BullMQ and dispatches them within milliseconds of a verification trigger.
