Does Wendesk support PayU's WhatsApp payment feature?
Yes. PayU has partnered with Meta to enable in-chat payments on WhatsApp. Wendesk can send a PayU WhatsApp payment link directly from a conversation, letting customers pay without leaving WhatsApp.
How does Wendesk verify PayU payment notifications?
PayU sends server-to-server payment status notifications. Wendesk verifies these using your merchant salt to compute and compare the HMAC hash before marking any order as paid.
Can I issue refunds from Wendesk without visiting the PayU dashboard?
Yes. Wendesk calls the PayU Refund API directly, allowing your support team to initiate full or partial refunds from within the CRM, with the refund status synced back automatically.
How is my PayU merchant key stored in Wendesk?
Your merchant key and salt are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using AWS KMS. They are never logged, never returned by any API, and only decrypted at the moment of a payment call.
