Google Analytics 4
Track CRM funnel conversions in Google Analytics 4 via Wendesk event firing. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is Google's current cross-platform analytics + event-tracking suite. Connect to Wendesk to fire GA4 conversion events on lead creation, deal closure and payment via the Measurement Protocol — closing the marketing-to-CRM attribution loop with offline events that include the original gclid / fbclid for ad-platform sync-back.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about Google Analytics 4 on Wendesk.
What does the GA4 integration do in Wendesk?
It maps GA4 user properties and conversion events to Wendesk CRM contacts, allowing sales teams to see which campaigns, pages, or WhatsApp entry points generated a given lead.
Does Wendesk send CRM conversion events back to GA4?
Yes. When a CRM deal moves to Won, Wendesk can send a Measurement Protocol event to GA4 with deal value, so your Google Analytics reports reflect actual closed revenue — not just form fills.
Is GA4 integration DPDP-compliant for India?
Wendesk passes only hashed user identifiers (CUID or email hash) to GA4 and respects consent flags. Google Signals data collection can be scoped by region to comply with India's DPDP Act.
How is GA4 different from Universal Analytics integration?
Universal Analytics was shut down in July 2024 and no longer collects data. GA4 is the current standard. Wendesk's integration is built entirely on GA4 APIs; the legacy Universal Analytics connector is not available.
Do I need BigQuery for the GA4 integration?
No. Basic event mapping and Measurement Protocol work without BigQuery. For analytics teams wanting raw GA4 events in a data warehouse, GA4's free BigQuery export is supported but optional.
